Undergraduate Courses
Undergraduate courses enroll a mix of Art History, Studio, Photography, and Design majors together with students earning Pathways (General Education) credits.
Courses emphasize a wide and diverse range of content, together with core college skills. All courses emphasize 'Habits of Work,' described in the Iinked handout.

Linked here, you will find Student Evaluation Data for all courses taught by Prof. Horton between Fall 2022 and Spring 2025, compared to all Art History courses taught in the same period. These evaluations are available from the public database Tableau, supplied by the Queens College Office of Institutional Research.

Graduate Courses

Graduate courses are tailored to the wide range of student background and goals found in QC classrooms. A typical seminar might enroll Art History graduate students, together with Studio Artists pursuing MFA degrees, and teachers pursuing advanced education degrees.

My courses emphasize core skills in critical reading and discussion, while introducing students to art historical research and writing.
